On March 1, 2009, a virga case developed about 12 UTC. About 2 hours later, at 14 UTC, snow reached the ground as temperatures remained at freezing before falling. Snow continued to the end of the storm. The storm dropped 11.1 inches (28.2 cm) of snowfall. The snow-water equivalent was 0.94 inches (2.39 cm).
