Classification of All Snow Storms

On February 1, 2007, a virga case developed about 3 UTC and slowly made its way to the ground as snow. Snow fell from 8 UTC to 18 UTC, dropping 1.8 inches (4.6 cm) of snowfall. The snow-water equivalent was 0.13 inches (0.34 cm). Temperatures were below freezing throughout the storm. There was a gulf low with isentropic lift between 8 and 12 UTC.
